Candidates must be resident in Lagos to be considered for this role as there will be 3 days on-site and 2 days remote work.


iManage Africa Entertainment Limited is looking for an Executive Assistant to assist and provide support to the CEO, Godwin Tom. This is a great opportunity to have first-hand experience observing and interacting with the inner workings of a music business executive.


You will have access to confidential and sensitive information, trade secrets and the Executive’s personal communications so discretion is of the utmost importance. You will also be directly involved in the planning, execution and management of the MBA for Africa 2022.


EA Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Schedule/ organize meetings, send out meeting invites and reminders.
  2. Take notes at meetings, prepare minutes of meetings and remind the Executive of important information.
  3. Calendar management, keeping track of events, engagements, meetings, conversations and leads and prioritizing them accordingly.
  4. Conducting research on topics around music business or other areas as required by the Executive.
  5. Email organisation and management, editing emails, ensuring the Executive is up to date with his inbox, properly categorizing emails, and reminding the Executive of important information.
  6. Work on documents, budgets, project road-maps, and plans alongside the Executive.
  7. Prepare invoices, quotes, and receipts to be sent out to clients.
  8. Manage information flow in a timely and accurate manner.
  9. Keep proper records of everything.
  10. Following up and managing other members of the team in some cases, on the Executive’s behalf.


QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS


You do not need a particular educational background to be suitable for this role, but here are some important requirements. Previous experience in a similar role is also nice to have but not absolutely necessary. You must however be a quick learner.


  1. Trustworthiness. You must be a trustworthy and reliable person with utmost discretion.
  2. Proper time management and ability to meet deadlines.
  3. Strong organisational skills and ability to pay attention to detail.
  4. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  5. Problem-solving and decision making skills.
  6. High-level proficiency in using online work tools like Google suite (Email, Docs, Sheets, Slides etc), Trello, Zoom, etc.
  7. Have an interest in, and a basic understanding of the music business industry.
  8. Proactivity and self-direction in handling assigned tasks.


What to Expect

  1. This will be a challenging role as you will be dealing with a busy Executive with a lot on their plate and handling multiple projects.
  2. You will be directly involved in handling the MBA for Africa 2022, performing
  3. administrative tasks for the Executives clients, and assisting in whatever role necessary.
  4. This will also be an exciting role as it will give you access to how the music business works in real life.
  5. This is a full-time position. There will be 3 days on-site and 2 days remote work. However, this is subject to change based on work demands, so candidates must be based in Lagos.
  6. This role offers a competitive compensation package.
